Directly under the cowl scoop, the hood is open for extra clearance (4-3/4). GM-885 has provision to bolt to hinges in the rear and front must held with pins. GM-895 bolts to hinges the rear but also uses the front latch.

The 1982-93 S-10/S-15 hood with 4-3/4 inch high cowl induction scoop (part no. GM-895) is a direct replacement for the OEM steel hood, including provisions for stock hinges and the front latch. It features a full inner bracing for maximum support and weighs only 34 pounds. This hood also fits midsize 1982-93 Chevy blazers and GMC Jimmys. Due to the use of only the finest grades of resin and gelcoat over 7-1/2 oz. fiberglass cloth, Unlimited Products provide at least 25% more strength than the competitors hoods while not increasing weight. Unlimited has designed special brackets that adapt the S-10 hood to original hood (pivot) location. These brackets are supplied with each hood, bolt on and "hinge" mount style hoods. Full pin on hoods do not use these brackets. These are available separately, but only fit Unlimited's S10 (1994-2003). The special design of these brackets allow adjusting for perfect fit.

Hi, I have a '95 S-10 and was wondering a couple of things about your latch style cowl induction hood for my truck. First of all, does it include the spring on the front, and are there holes for the windshield squirters, and is there a place over the drivers side firewall for the vacuum-booster, or whatever that round thing is, to hang from the hood. About the finish of the hood itself, what color(s) does it come in without additional charge and any additional instructions, such as letting it cure for a month or anything before painting. I'm considering ordering it next month and would appreciated the help. Thanks!

Spring not included in latch, order our part #301.
No holes for sprayer. They can be easily drilled.
"Booster" indent is molded in.
Finish is grey, smooth gel coat, ready for light sanding, primer and paint.
No "letting it cure" for a month. We use a special resin/catalyst system that "cures" in the mold.
Also, we use a high temp. heat resistant on all parts.

GM-480 attaches to hinges in the rear, but uses racing type pins for front hold down. Check our accessories page for pins. GM-490 attaches to hinges in the rear and front uses standard factory latch, no pins required. Prop rod is required to hold hood in open position.

PR-94 Dual Ram-Air scoop. Contoured to fit 94-02 S-10 and S-15 hood. Scoops are 8 inches wide x 1-1/4 high. Overall height at rear is 1-1/2 inches. Width of 'scoop' at rear is 32-1/2. Overall width, including flange is 37-1/2 wide at rear. 40 inches long.
